 1. How do I find where the
church meets?
You can't miss our
location at the Challenger Space Center
at 21170 N. 83rd Avenue in Peoria. It is located on
the west side of 83rd Avenue,
just north of the Lake Pleasant Parkway and south of
Deer Valley Road. Click for
Directions.
2. What is there for my
kids?
Starting with a clean
nursery for children age two and younger, there is
something special for every age child. For children
three years old to sixth grade there are
Bible-centered classes on Sundays at 9:30am. and
CactusKids on Wednesdays from 6:50-8:10pm. During
the Sunday Worship Service at 10:30am. there is a
children's church with Bible lessons,
songs, and games geared to help them learn the Bible
better.
3. What are the services
like?
Sunday mornings at
9:30am. you can participate in a Bible study LifeGroup.
We have a LifeGroup for every age group.
Then at 10:30am. is a Worship Service in which you
can participate in encouraging and uplifting music
followed by a helpful and challenging
Bible message. This service is about an hour and
fifteen minutes in length. At 5:30pm. is our
Family Bible Hour. Again, in this
service there will be another helpful and
challenging Bible message. On Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
we have prayer and the pastor leads a Bible
study verse-by-verse through a book of the Bible. There is also a Bible study for teenagers
and a club for children on Wednesdays.
4.
Do I have to wear a suit and tie?
No, there isn't a
dress code to attend our church services. We
are more concerned with your needs than we are with
what you are wearing. You will
see some people more dressed up, and some people will be dressed
more casually. Our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable on
your visit here at Lakeside Baptist.
5. Do I have to give money
to attend?
No. We do collect an
offering at our services. However, giving is
an act of worship for our regular attendees
who call Lakeside their home. We
want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you
will find a warm family spirit, truth
from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in
God's grace. So, don't feel any obligation to
participate in the offering as a guest.
